Trader Joe’s Just Leaked Info on 12 New Items Hitting Shelves Soon
While we haven’t been frequenting Trader Joe’s as often as usual, that doesn’t mean we haven’t been lusting over all the new items that we’ve yet to try. (Looking at you, cauliflower thins and jicama wraps!) To add insult to injury, the hosts of our favorite podcast, Tara Miller and Matt Sloan from Inside Trader Joe’s, just announced a dozen more new items that will be hitting stores soon.
That means just one thing: Our grocery wish list keeps getting longer and longer! Here are the new treats we can’t wait to try.
1. Organic Sugar Cones
A 12-pack of classic sugar cones are the perfect foil to TJ’s previous cone offering: Giant waffle cones, which, according to Sloan, required a half gallon of ice cream to fill. “These are the right size.” Big news: There’s no styrofoam in the inner packaging either.
2. Turkeyless Protein Patty
You’ll find these meatless patties in the refrigerated section where they’re ready to go. “I’m really surprised, just overall, how much that Turkeyless Protein Patty tastes like a turkey burger,” says Miller.
3. Lemony Arugula Basil Salad Kit
According to Sloan, this bright, lemony, no-fuss pouch of salad is a great accompaniment to a perfectly cooked Turkeyless Protein Patty. If TJ’s other salad kit offerings are any indication, this one is going to be a winner too.

4. Baton Wafer Cookies
Oh, the nostalgia of a cylinder of baton wafer cookies! Luckily, TJ’s is adding two new flavors to the mix: Vanilla Chocolate and Lemon. For an added architectural element, Miller suggests that you “stick it in the ice cream that is scooped into your ice cream cone.”
5. Spicy Salami Chips
Snack-able salami? We are intrigued — are you? Don’t look for these “chips” in the chip aisle, though. According to Sloan, “these are in the refrigerator section.”
6. Almond Beverage Chocolate Bar
The podcast hinted at this new treat in their chocolate episode a while back and we’re still anxiously awaiting its arrival. Apparently you won’t even miss the milk in this “alt-milk” chocolate bar.
7. Corn Cookie Baking Mix
For fans of TJ’s baking mixes, you’ll soon have another box to add to your pantry. “It’s like the best part of cornbread and the best really simple sugar cookie and putting those two things together but in a sweet cookie that’s not overly sweet,” says Miller.
8. Strawberry Hand Cream
Everyone knows the beauty aisle is TJ’s best-kept-not-secret. Any early guesses on what pricy hand cream this fruit-scented version might be a dupe for?
9. Strawberry Sugar Scrub
We’re sensing a strawberry theme here, and we’re not mad about it. Bring on the seasonal fruit-flavored beauty products!
10. Chocolate Chip Hold The Cones!
TJ’s Hold the Cones! frozen dessert is a total customer favorite, so it makes sense that they’d add a new flavor (chocolate chip) to the mix. These mini cones are the perfect after-lunch or after-dinner bite — trust us.
11. Oat Beverage Frozen Dessert
We don’t know about you, but we think the plant-based “ice cream” movement is one to watch. Keep an eye out for a new pint in the freezer aisle soon. Apparently, it’s strawberry (oat) ice cream with bits of almond brittle.
12. Saddle Chips
What are saddle chips, you ask? “So think of the tall, narrow cylinder canister that a type of potato chip might come in. The shape lends itself to rigid organizational lining up or stacking up or saddling up or something. So we call them saddles,” says Sloan. Oh hello, Pringles dupes — we’ve been waiting for you!
Have you encountered any of these TJ’s newbies yet? Which are you most excited to try?
