Trader Joe’s Just Brought Back the Famous $3 Mini Canvas Totes That Keep Selling Out (I’m Buying Every Color!)

In February 2024, Trader Joe’s released a limited-edition mini canvas tote to promote the elimination of single-use paper and plastic. It was available in four shades: green, navy, red, and yellow. Simultaneously, creators posted about the find on TikTok, and within a few days people thoroughly wiped out the shelves. 

Those lucky enough to snag a tote couldn’t stop raving about how cute and convenient the accessory is. Certain folks resold their bags for upwards of $1000 on eBay. At the same time, others took it to an entirely new level by embroidering them to upgrade their design even more. 

The good news is that starting September 18, 2024, you can now find these mini canvas tote bags at Trader Joe’s for $2.99. They are designed with a long yet comfortable handle measuring about 13 inches long by 11 inches tall and 6 inches wide. Similar to the last drop, they’ll come in four different colors: green, navy, red, and yellow. 

If you plan on racing over to grab one, keep a few things in mind. Certain locations are hosting a tote drop, one starting at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. PST, according to a Trader Joe’s fan account based in Sacramento. Additionally, the post mentions that specific stores are planning a two-bag limit for customers. 

Shoppers are already anticipating the drop. One person commented, “I’m determined to get one. I didn’t even get one the last time, and I refuse to pay insane reseller prices!” While another user mentioned, “I’m ready to go!!” 

It’s only been a few hours since the drop, but if you scroll on TikTok, you’ll already encounter fans vlogging their experience, racing to get their hands on one.
