Trader Joe’s Just Brought Back This Limited-Edition Fan Favorite, and Shoppers Are Calling It “One of the Best”

Now that summer is fast approaching, there are several things that we can all excitedly look forward to. With warmer weather and summer vacations and outdoor activities, there’s not much else that anyone can probably ask for. But if you’re a Trader Joe’s shopper, there is one thing that would make the season better.

Last summer, the popular grocery chain provided shoppers with refreshments ranging from Jalapeño Limeade to Sparkling Pineapple Juice. There was one item, however, that stuck with fans, and lucky for us (and those who missed the boat) they’re bringing back one of last year’s biggest hits: the Trader Joe’s Horchata Ice Cream!

The frozen dessert was first introduced during the summer of 2022, and it instantly became the talk of the season. Lovers of the marriage between horchata and ice cream were left counting the days until their favorite frozen treat made its return to the shelf. Well now, the wait is over and shoppers can enjoy their favorite dessert in real time. 

According to a post shared by Reddit user u/Adam2222, the ice cream has made its long-awaited return and shoppers have been overjoyed.

“I love this flavor — and my kids don’t, so I get to eat it all myself!” one shopper wrote. “Oh man this was the sample in my store today and I got two pints because it was so good!” added another shopper who missed the craze last year.

From the looks of things, Trader Joe’s may be our primary source for summer refreshments once more, as they didn’t just stop with the horchata ice cream. Along with the ice cream, Redditors have begun to post the resurgence of other favorites like Key Lime Pie, Chocolate Fudge Oat Bars, Blueberry Dream Bars, and Ube Ice Cream. Sounds like it’s about to be the most delicious summer yet, if you ask me!
