This Trader Joe’s Chicken Parm Only Takes 9 Minutes to Make
Almost everyone who has an Instant Pot says that it’s made their lives easier, but you might need proof. Look no further than the Instagram account Trader Joe’s Obsessed, which recently shared a “super easy” weeknight dinner recipe that might just convince you that the Instant Pot is the cure for all your dinnertime woes. And there’s even more good news: This meal only takes nine minutes to cook, and you can find all the ingredients at your local Trader Joe’s.
The recipe is for chicken Parmesan and Romano cheese pasta — sounds complicated but the Instant Pot has everything under control. You’ll need fusilli pasta, grapeseed oil, chicken stock, frozen peas, and a bag of Trader Joe’s mandarin chicken (but you won’t be using the sauce). You’ll add everything to the pot in layers: First, you add the oil to the bottom of the pot, then the dry pasta, followed by the chicken stock mixed with water, then the frozen chicken, and finally, you’ll pour your frozen peas on top of that. You can season as you wish from there, but this recipe calls for salt and lemon pepper.
After you’ve got all your ingredients inside the pot, set the timer for seven minutes on high pressure mode. Once it’s done cooking, you can add the Parmesan cheese to taste. Then all you have to do — which arguably might be harder than actually cooking dinner — is wrangle your family into the kitchen, set the table, and serve.
