Trader Joe’s has no shortage of ingenious holiday treats — confections both sweet and savory. Every time I walk into my local store, there’s a new display rife with merriment that I’ve never seen before. They even go as far as to add fluffy fake snow, lights, and garlands to woo the festive-minded shopper! Here’s a list of our favorite picks we’ve plucked from displays (and tried!) this holiday season.

1. Dark Chocolate Covered Peppermint Joe-Joe’s

Trader Joe’s knock-off Oreos get taken to the next level when they’re covered with dark chocolate and sprinkled with crushed peppermint candies.

2. Egg Nog Yogurt

Despite our initial skepticism, this egg nog-flavored yogurt is GOOD. Who says you can’t have egg nog for breakfast?

3. Cheesy Trees Crackers

Here’s a festive way to round out a holiday cheese board! Just pair these with some of the various blocks of cheese that Trader Joe’s has to offer. Now if only all Christmas trees could be made of cheese.

4. Kernel Candy Advent Calendar

Each one of these cardboard doors is hiding a tiny piece of milk chocolate to help you count down until Christmas. Yes, we are already well into December, but better late than never!

5. Peppermint Bark Popcorn

If you have a sweet tooth to rival that of the reindeer on this packaging, you will love this caramel corn covered in both dark and white chocolate, dusted with peppermint candy.

6. Dark Chocolate Mint Stars

These little star-shaped shortbread cookies are “enrobed in dark chocolate.” Excuse me while I enrobe myself in a large blanket and eat a whole box.

7. Winter Wassail

If calling this drink “a spiced holiday libation” doesn’t sound festive to you, you need to go watch the Hallmark Channel for a few hours and report back. This is TJ’s take on mulled wine, without the wine part. I recommend heating it up in your slow cooker and serving it with a cinnamon stick!

8. Buche de Noel (Yule Log) Ice Cream

Break from tradition and have your Yule Log in frozen form this year. These pints (which look like little logs) are chock-full of chocolate cake and swirled with cocoa.

9. Gingerbread Coffee

Skip your regular Starbucks run for their seasonal lattes and make your own. This coffee from TJ’s has the same holiday flair for a fraction of the price.

10. Striped Garganelli Pasta

Something tells us Buddy the Elf would freak for this peppermint-striped pasta. We strongly advise that you don’t drizzle it with maple syrup, M&Ms, and snowcaps, though.
