Living in this 300-square-foot RV in Nashville, Tennessee, looks downright ritzy. The proud owners of this super well-furnished space? Kristin Trout, her husband, and their three pooches (can you spot them above?). Kristin documents her little family’s life in their tiny home on wheels on Instagram, and thousands of people (including us) can’t help but follow along.

“I get some funny questions like, how do you cook and eat, where do you sleep, and how do you shower?” says Kristin about the stereotypes of RV living, but she and her husband have figured out a way to live large with just 300-square feet, thanks to their great style and DIY sensibilities.

Don’t be mistaken, though — the couple definitely didn’t move into their dream tiny home right away. When Kristin and her husband bought the place, they needed to seriously renovate the rig. Check out these before and after shots of the kitchen and dining nook that Kristin posted to Instagram (click on the scrolling arrows below!) for just how much work we’re talking about.

As you can see from the pre- and post-renovation photos, the RV kitchen’s bones are exactly the same, but the painted cabinets, tile backsplash, trendy barstools from Amazon, and updated floors make a world of difference, transforming the space completely.

The couple’s dining nook area is completely unrecognizable in the before and after too, thanks to a new table, couch, cabinet paint job, and gorgeous new flooring from Lumber Liquidators. The new space, which drowns in natural light, is making us seriously consider packing up all of our belongings and buying a fifth wheel so we can live large on the road, just like the Trout family.
