When it comes to kitchens, most designers and homeowners gravitate toward light and bright colors to create a warm, welcoming space. However, in recent years, many people have opted to take a walk on the darker side of kitchen color, opting for navy blue cabinetry, honed black countertops, and even dark cabinet pulls and knobs. Now, Tia Mowry is making a serious case for the all-black pantry.

In a new Instagram video, the “Sister, Sister” star begins to give a pantry tour to all her followers. “I want to show you guys how it’s organized, and I want to show you some of my favorite basic ingredients to always, always have on hand,” Mowry said. It turns out you have to pre-order a copy of her new book “The Quick Fix Kitchen” to get the full pantry reveal. However, viewers did get a quick glimpse into her dynamic space on the ‘gram, and a dark pantry never looked so good.

The shelves and walls are painted in a black color with an eggshell finish, giving off a very modern but still farmhouse-like vibe. The shelves that house all of her liquids and condiments appear to have white plastic shelf boosters instead (quite brilliant) to avoid any damage to the shelves.

Equally as impressive as the aesthetic in her pantry is how incredibly organized it is. In a previous pantry tour with Good Housekeeping, Mowry revealed that the perfectly positioned plastic and glass canisters was the work of professionals. “Now I’m just going to go ahead and tell you guys right now, I did not do this by myself. I actually worked with an incredible organization company that comes and organizes your home, and that’s exactly what they did in this room,” she admitted.

However, you don’t need to pay someone to organize your pantry for you. Here are a bunch of tips to get the job done as well as inspiration to get you motivated
