Weekends are for brunching with friends and dining with special someones, most certainly. But are they for lunching?

Honestly, I often forget about lunch on the weekends. Which is definitely not the same as saying that I forget to eat!

Weekend mornings are my time to relax. Instead of my weekday routine of gobbling breakfast on my way to the desk, I stretch breakfast out on the weekends. I get distracted with something in the newspaper or in conversation with my husband. I get up for a second cup of coffee and grab myself a second piece of fruit on the way back. This “breakfast” tends to last well into what is technically lunchtime.

I also tend to eat dinner earlier on the weekends. Partly that’s because I skipped lunch and am hungry earlier, but it’s also because my husband and I are at home and ready to eat earlier in the evening. And again, dinner tends to stretch out for much longer than it does on the weekdays.

So as for myself, nope! There’s usually no lunch in my weekend plans. And that’s the way I like it!

What about you?
