Thanksgiving has come and gone, but the holiday season is still in full swing. Now more than ever, with parties and presents on the horizon, it’s important to remember to slow down, reflect, and recharge. Making yourself a nice cup of tea and taking a moment to enjoy it is one way to give yourself a little zen time this winter.

This latte is definitely a step up from your standard cuppa. And while yes, you could just treat yourself to a fancy latte from Starbucks, this is the time of year when you’re spending extra money on gifts, so every penny saved at home counts. Plus, you’ll know exactly what’s going into it! You’ll need to invest in a few specific items up front, but then you can whip up one of these delicious drinks whenever you want.

For this recipe you’ll need loose-leaf rooibos tea, unsweetened almond milk (make your own!), pitted dates, tahini, rose water concentrate, and ground cinnamon. You’ll also need a blender to whip everything together and give it that signature froth on top.

One sip of this slightly floral, creamy tea latte and you’ll feel calm and cozy. It’s really the best way to chill out while you warm up on these hectic, cold winter days.
