Whether you’re hosting a Sunday football viewing party or you’ve been tasked with bringing something to a potluck, this slow cooker Buffalo chicken chili will not let you down. It turns all the flavors of the classic appetizer into a hearty, wholesome chili that’ll warm you up on cool fall days.

This chili starts with cooked, shredded chicken, so the goal of making it in the slow cooker is to really build deep flavors. Plus, if you’re bringing it to a potluck or leaving it out for hungry football fans, it’s the perfect vessel for transporting the chili and keeping it warm.

All you have to do is add some veggies, spices, the chicken, beer, tomatoes, Buffalo wing sauce, and beans to your slow cooker and let everything cook on low for a few hours. Since you don’t have to worry about raw chicken, you can be really flexible with the cooking time.

The most important step in this recipe is prepping the toppings, since dressing up a bowl of chili is the fun part, anyway. Set out extra wing sauce, grated cheddar, crumbled blue cheese, chopped green onion and chives, lime, sliced avocado, and tortilla chips and let everyone go wild.

The author also makes an ingenious suggestion for the chili: Put it over french fries with some melted cheese for the most delicious chili cheese fries you’ll ever eat!
