This holiday season, time with other people feels more precious than ever — even if it’s the same crew you’ve been hanging out with all year. Whether you’re gathering a few friends safely outside or just want to celebrate with your household (Happy Tuesday!), we could all use an extra-special break from the everyday. Like, maybe, a relaxed hangout at home with the perfect cocktail delivered to your door?

Designed to help savor simple yet special moments in between the holiday rush, the new Mount Gay Moments x Cocktail Courier Collection of cocktail kits are like meal kits for drinks, with all the ingredients for a delicious cocktail recipe — plus some complementary items to enhance the experience. Each limited-edition themed kit is curated by top tastemakers for intimate gatherings at home. Our pick for the holiday season? In the Kitchen, created with chef Rōze Traore. His kit includes limes, simple syrup, bitters, nutmeg, and a bottle of Mount Gay’s Eclipse Heritage Blend Rum, in addition to a few essential accessories. Translation: everything you need to make a really delicious rum punch while hanging out in the kitchen and trying a tasty new dish.

Punch has all the prestige of making fancy cocktails, without any of the hassle. (Punch actually predates cocktails, and drinkers of the past took them very seriously: Think more Ritz-Carlton ballroom and less frat house basement.) The Eclipse Rum Punch recipe follows a classic formula, with sweet, sour, and spirit-forward elements — the star of which is a bottle of rum from Mount Gay, which was established in 1703 and is the world’s oldest running rum distillery.

Now, rather than making drinks one by one, you can mix up a batch of cocktails and spend the night, you know, having fun. Rōze recommends food that’s equally low-fuss — and your kit comes with a chic apron and cutting board to help you prepare it. Rōze has cooked in some of the world’s most prestigious restaurants (hello, Eleven Madison Park), and he’s dedicated to making elevated, innovative cooking approachable at home. He suggests apps that can be popped into the oven straight from the fridge, or even a classic charcuterie board (made individually for safety, of course). “This season, I’ve also been loving a salad of shaved Brussels sprouts, walnuts, and cranberries in a light vinaigrette,” Rōze says. “It pairs perfectly with cheese and crackers.”

Your guest list may shorter this year, but that doesn’t mean the occasion has to be any less memorable. Says Rōze: “The Mount Gay Eclipse Rum Punch cocktail denotes chill vibes and adds to a memorable experience. We all deserve a little stress relief these days, and that’s the goal I strive for when entertaining.”

The In the Kitchen kit has everything you need to make your own rum punch. And check out all of the cocktail kits featuring Mount Gay Rum, to add to a gathering Around the Table or to cozy up By the Fire.
