Yesterday in Bunol, a small town of 9,000 people near Valencia in Spain, the annual festival “La Tomatina” took place. This food fight is reportedly the largest (and definitely craziest lookin’) food fight in the world. People showed up from all over the world to throw 130 tons of tomatoes at each other.

For the first time in the history of the food fight, which dates back to 1945, a mandatory $13 dollar (10 euro) fee was required to participate. This new policy might be the reason why attendance was down from 40,000 participants last year to only 20,000 people this year.
