Freddie Prinze Jr.’s Favorite Pint of Ice Cream
Your favorite ’90s dreamboat is up to new things. Freddie Prinze Jr. just released his first cookbook, Back to the Kitchen: 75 Delicious, Real Recipes (& True Stories) from a Food-Obsessed Actor, after his wife, Sarah Michelle Gellar, convinced him he needed to share his talents with the world. I was able to sit down with him during his promotional tour to talk about the book and get the scoop on his favorite pint of ice cream.
Freddie Prinze Jr.’s Favorite Pint: Mint Chip from Häagen-Dazs
Freddie Prinze Jr. is surprisingly down-to-earth in person and his ice cream choice reflects that. He’s not looking for something complicated or fussy; he just wants something good that both he and his kids will enjoy.
Here’s what Freddie told me about his favorite pint of ice cream.
Growing up, Freddie Prinze Jr. would go to the corner store with his mom and get mint chocolate ice cream. Häagen-Dazs was always his favorite. As an adult, Freddie gravitated towards salted caramel ice cream, but when he had kids, he reverted back to his childhood favorite. His daughter has never had Häagen-Dazs (shock!), but her favorite is also mint chocolate chip.
