This DIY Ginger-Infused Gin Is the Perfect Holiday Gift
Giving a bottle of liquor or wine as a gift for the holidays will never go out of style, but sometimes it’s nice to take things one step further. Say, for instance, if you infused some gin with cardamom and ginger — now that would really put your gift recipient in high spirits.
This DIY project is so easy yet so impressive. Simply combine gin, some cardamom pods, and some fresh (peeled and thinly sliced) ginger in a sealable container and let the flavors mingle for about a week.
Once the gin is sufficiently infused, strain the cardamom and ginger out and pour the gin into individual bottles or Mason jars. You can affix a label right onto the bottle or jar, or tie a little tag around the mouth of the bottle — just do something along these lines so your recipient knows that it’s not just plain ol’ gin.
The author also notes that you can swap in vodka for the gin! Make them both and be everyone’s hero this holiday season.
