This Chocolate Cake Is “Unbeetable”

You’ve probably heard of pairing beets with chocolate before, but this chocolate-beet loaf really takes the cake (pun intended).

For one, this recipe features beets in both the cake and frosting. The cake is rich and moist, thanks to the beets, unsweetened cocoa powder, and extra-virgin olive oil. The slightly tangy cream cheese frosting on top gets its pretty shade of pink from beet and blood orange juice. A garnish of pale pink sprinkles gilds the lily.
