If your fascination with Carrie Bradshaw's Manolos always confused your significant other, the collection of chocolate shoes at Osaka's Righa Royal Hotel might bring him into the shoe-obsessed fold. The hotel's chocolate boutique, L'eclat, is manufacturing incredibly realistic chocolate men's dress shoes — and they sound delicious.
Each shoe runs 10.2 inches and comes with a chocolate shoe horn and chocolate shoe cream. From the shoelaces to the stitches in the sole, and even down to the color of the "leather" of the shoes (ranging from dark to light and red-brown), these chocolate figures are as realistic and beautiful as any pair of shoes you might find in a high-end department store. The only difference, honestly, is that these beautiful shoes won't cause bunions.
The shoes, made by specialist chocolatier Motohiro Okai, will cost you 29,160 yen ($257.58 USD) per pair, and only nine pairs will be made. Hungry style mavens may reserve his or her pair in advance starting January 20, with delivery scheduled between February 7 and February 14.
Forget wearing your Valentine's day gift — if the shoe fits, eat it.
