The use of vintage school charts is a decorating motif that has popped up in the last several years. Do you know which ones I mean? They're big, oversized charts designed to be hung in a schoolroom, and to teach anything from soil profiles to cell mitosis to the biology of pollination. These vintage charts make for fun decor, but I just ran across these updated styles that are even cuter — and fabulous for the kitchen.
These pieces from Little Low (at Etsy) are smaller charts — about 12" by 19" — but they're printed on canvas, like their vintage inspirations, and mounted between wood.
The first shows a loose grouping of fruits and vegetables by season; the second offers flowers.
I like the way these echo their vintage counterparts, but with a sweet visual style all their own.
