Adult slushies are a thing, and I for one completely support their existence. In summer, when I’m looking for an ice-cold drink to beat the heat, a slushie is just the ticket. And a slushie with wine and fresh fruit? Now you’re really speaking my language.

Now, these are not spur-of-the-moment slushies — you’ll need to plan ahead in order to make them a reality. First you have to pour a bottle of Pinot Noir into ice cube trays and freeze for a few hours until firm. Once they’re nice and frozen, you blend them with berries, a vanilla bean, some sugar, and fresh lime juice until smooth. Pour into glasses, garnish with some berries and lime wedges, and serve.

I know what I’ll be drinking this weekend … off to freeze some wine!
