And now they have science to back up this theory.
According to Charles Spence, author of The Perfect Meal: The Multisensory Science of Food and Dining, everything from the heft of your silverware to the level of light can have an effect on your meal.
One of our favorite revelations from the post is that an artistic “plating” like the salad designed to resemble the Kandinsky painting above will make diners enjoy their meal more.
