Quick Facts

Who wrote it: Pete Evans

Who published it: Ten Speed Press

Number of recipes: Over 100

Other highlights: Pete Evans’ aim with this book was two-fold: make Paleo recipes that are both simple enough to make on a weeknight and instantly appealing. I’d say he’s succeeded on both counts.

While all these recipes seem to be (impressively) weeknight-friendly, be prepared that you’ll need a well-stocked pantry to make it happen. Evans leans heavily on Asian and South Asian cuisines, so you’ll need to stock up on things like shrimp paste, fish sauce, nori, and tamari if they’re not already in your cupboard.

Once you’re done shopping, however, most of the recipes are a simple matter of assembly. And if the beautiful pictures are anything to go by, you’re in for a real treat.
