Just because you’ve made plans for beach days, picnics, and maybe a vacation if you’re lucky, that doesn’t mean you need to give up watching TV and movies. Get cozy next to the fan and get comfortable with your remote, because there’s a ton of interesting stuff coming to various streaming services this month (yes, it’s true Titanic is going to be on Netflix). I’ve rounded up all the new movies related to food that are going to be available, so you don’t have to search.

Coming to Netflix

July 1

  • Delicatessen

This movie is not your typical lighthearted food movie, but it should be mentioned nonetheless. The black comedy from 1991 follows a man in a post-apocalyptic France who owns a butcher shop. He lures customers into the shop, turns them into meat, and then serves it to his tenants.

Maybe not something to watch with the kids?

July 6

  • Butter

A 10-year old girl discovers that she has a talent for carving things into butter. She decides to compete in a carving contest at the Iowa State Fair, and goes up against the reigning champion’s wife. Things get heated. Also, it’s rated “R” so it’s not as innocent as it seems.

Coming to Amazon Prime

July 1

  • Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Starting in July, you can start streaming the most delicious kid’s movie of all time. This is the perfect family movie for summer, filled with incredible confectionary creations, friendly competition, and great songs.

July 28

  • Chef

This 2014 breakout movie follows a chef after he quits his job and tries to make a living as a food truck owner. He travels with his son from Miami to Los Angeles and uses social media to gain a following.
