The Cutest Way to Turn Pies into Favors

Even if you're not planning on throwing an admittedly specific lumberjack-themed party, this bash (by Jenny Keller on her site, Jenny Cookies) has a fun idea worth stealing for your upcoming fall fêtes.

Here's a hint: It's pie-related.

Here's a better hint: It's pictured below!

She wrapped up mini pies and wooden forks using strips of flannel fabric. Jenny got her flannel from the craft store, but she says you can definitely use old shirts if you have a bunch (of clean ones) lying around. You can even cover these with a bit of plastic wrap before adding the flannel for crumb-free transport.

This little detail is so cute and special that it can dress up any party from now through basically the end of the year.

And just in case you are throwing a lumberjack-themed party, you've gotta see this cake. From the outside, it's an impressive tree stump, but cut into it and a very appropriate buffalo plaid checkered cake is revealed. Wood (hehe!) you ever get tired of something so adorable?
