The Cutest Holiday Way to Light Up the Kitchen
In case you missed it, we’re big fans of decorating for Christmas in the kitchen. Wreaths look totally at home hung in front of a window over the sink, and cabinet uppers are a perfect backdrop for all those holiday cards that come in. So, in the spirit of being spirited, we also love the idea of Christmas lights in the kitchen.
As our friends over at Lowe’s point out, lights can be hung on a wall or ceiling — or between a pair of posts — and they won’t get in the way of traffic flow or cooking. You can also drape a string of lights between your cabinets and the ceiling (if you have a gap there), or around a kitchen island. Or you can wrap the pendant over your kitchen table with battery-powered string lights.
Another tip from Lowe’s: Add a sprig of greenery between the bulbs for an extra-festive touch.
Trust us — hanging a few strands of lights in the kitchen will make your holiday baking feel even more special.
