Kaffekokarkoboken, which roughly translates to Coffee Boil Cookbook, is a blog dedicated to cooking food in a coffee maker. Katija Wluff created the blog a few years ago and now maintains it with the help of her photographer boyfriend Dan Sorenson. The couple live together with their three cats in Gothenburg, Sweden.

It is probably, definitely, the craziest food blog I’ve ever seen.

You might recognize the blog name due to their rather successful Tumblr Meowfit, where they post photos of one of their Cats, Gucci, dressed up in long, goofy tights. Apparently Gucci enjoys the attention.

Katija came up with the idea for the food blog when she was in college, and all she had was a coffee maker to cook food. The blog is full of surprising recipes including lots of soups, desserts, and fish. Even if you’re not wild about the idea of eating things made in a coffee pot, the blog is obviously very creative. And if anything, Katija’s playful and funny writing is enough to keep one reading.

As the title of the blog implies, Kaffekokarkoboken is also a cookbook. Right now there only appears to be a Swedish version of the book, but it’s still worth checking out. The blog has found a lot of success in Sweden, including winning what’s basically “best food blog” award for 2010.
