Chef’s knives are very personal. We have our own recommendations, but we always love to see what what other cooks use! We noticed Charlie Marshall had beautiful knives when we toured his kitchen, so we wanted to hear a little more about what chef’s knife a chef uses at home! Here’s what he told us.

“My new chef’s knife is my favorite toy as of late,” Charlie says. “It is a Japanese hammered steel knife that goes exactly where I point it, is easy to sharpen with a steel, and holds a great edge – all while being very light and agile. You might say this is what a knife is supposed to do, right? Yes, but this is by far the best knife I have owned.”

As far as the rest of his knives? “All of my other knives are Cutco knives, which are some of the very best knives for home use, in my opinion.”

Thanks for sharing, Charlie!
