Ah, Pinterest. What would we do without you when it comes time to throwing parties? From food to decorations to cocktails, the site is chock-full of inspiration — but you know that already. Something else you already know? Pinterest can also be an overwhelming rabbit hole that can take over your life.

Don’t waste time getting sucked into all those sometimes-too-crazy pins! Instead, just use this little cheat sheet of the best ideas and you can plan a shower for your bride-to-be in no time.

1. Steal a free downloadable invitation.

We’re cheating a little because this idea (and the invitation) comes from us, but we just had to include it here. It’s pretty and it’ll save you a ton of money! Just check out this post and put your invitation budget toward something else.

2. Add balloons. Lots of balloons.

At some point, balloons became a thing reserved for kids’ birthday parties and graduations, but they’re also well-suited for bridal showers (and weddings!). Don’t believe us? Just look at this sweet setup from Sugar & Cloth.

3. Start the countdown.

No doubt the bride already has a countdown of her own — and this will help remind guests how much time is left before the big day. Use an old-school chalkboard and chalk or steal this idea from No. 2 Pencil and cut out letters from paper for a striking, dust-free sign.

4. Build a mimosa bar.

Whether it’s the party’s theme or just a cute way to serve brunch-appropriate drinks, pop the bubbly stuff! And then set up a mimosa bar — like this one from Ruffled — with mixers and plenty of fruit toppings.

5. Make the ice look nice.

Freeze flowers inside your ice cubes then add them to a large bucket to help chill any Champagne or drinks you have on hand. Just look how good it looked when Andee Layne did it!

6. Give guests a favor.

These mini bottles of Champagne (featured on Rue Daily) look especially party-ready, thanks to a cute ribbon and pretty paper straw. Finally! A favor idea your guests are guaranteed to take home with them.

7. DIY a donut bar.

Although this DIY donut bar from Something Turquoise was set up for a wedding, we see no reason why you couldn’t do something like this for a pastry-loving friend’s shower. These stands don’t take up a ton of room and they allow guests to see all the options at once.

8. Create a quick photo booth.

A photo booth doesn’t have to be some big, elaborate display. Just download this PDF from CreativeUnionDesign and have it professionally printed. Then, guests just have to pose and say cheese.

9. Plan a fun game.

Bridal shower games can get cheesy fairly quickly. (No, people do not want to fashion a wedding dress made out of toilet paper!) This quiz from Bespoke Bride is actually fun and is sure to make the guest of honor feel extra special.

10. Set up a flower crown station.

You could rely on an app on your phone to make cute flower crowns appear on your guests’ head, or you can set up a real flower crown bar like this one from Glitter Guide. Which one sounds like more fun?

11. Give the bride some recipes.

We actually did this very idea at a recent bridal shower we threw. The idea, as outlined here on Strawberry Milk Events, is simple: You ask shower guests to bring filled-out recipe cards and have them drop them off in a set place during the shower. At the end of the party, the bride gets to keep a very special box full of recipes from friends and family.

12. And some advice.

While they’re all in one place, tap the guests for some advice. Steal this cute idea from My Wedding and ask guests to list some creative date night ideas for the bride and groom.
