There was a ton of great stuff at last weekend’s International Home + Housewares Show. As usual, a few trends popped up that we just couldn’t ignore. Mostly, it seems like everyone and their mother (especially the mothers, we’re guessing!) want us all to be a little healthier.

Here are the three healthy cooking trends that almost every company seemed to be talking about.

1. Hydrating

A fancy way of talking about on-the-go water bottles, companies were pushing this category — hard. Look for new water bottles coming out from Built New York, Oxo, Aladdin, and a soon-to-launch company called D.Stil (pictured above), just to name a few. There are hundreds of new colors, shapes, and designs about to come out. We had no idea there were so many different ways to get water into your mouth!

2. Spiralizing

Zoodles — noodles made out of ribbons of zucchini — have been hot for a while now, and more and more companies want a piece of the (spaghetti) pie. There are handheld options (like the one above from Joseph Joseph), some larger ones that sit on the counter, and even some electric options that plug in. KitchenAid even has something coming out that will whittle a zucchini into a single paper-thin sheet to be used in a veggie lasagna.

3. Air frying

We haven’t done much on the site about air frying, but we’re probably going to start. Why? It seems like almost everyone is about to own one of these gadgets! In case you don’t own one just yet, an air fryer is a countertop appliance with a convection-like fan that allows air to circulate evenly and quickly around your food. It makes crispy fries, turnovers, dumplings, and more — with just a tablespoon or two of oil. We saw at least a dozen different options from brands like Bella, DeLonghi, Black + Decker, and more.

What do you think? Are you already on any of these bandwagons?
