The 10 Snacks Trader Joe’s Must Never Discontinue
Trader Joe’s is great for regular pantry items and kitchen staples, but one area where they really excel is snacks. And, judging by some of your favorite buys at Trader Joe’s, it sounds like you agree.
They carry everything from everyday basic munchies and dinner party-worthy nibbles to healthy snacks and indulgent sweets. There are more than a few snacks that have won my heart since I started shopping at Trader Joe’s years ago. But it’s these 10 that would cause the most heartbreak should they ever stop appearing on the shelves.
I love the assortment of snacks at Trader Joe’s. There really is something for everyone. And whether you’re after something sweet, savory, healthy, or over-the-top indulgent, you’ll certainly find something to fit the bill.
When it comes to sweets, part of the appeal of buying these snacks at Trader Joe’s is their size. Not all, but many of them, come in smaller, petite sizes. Having two (okay, three) small cookies instead of one large cookie somehow feels more satisfying. And sometimes all my sweet tooth needs is a two-bite brownie.
And of course, as with so many of the products at Trader Joe’s, the snacks come at a good value.
10 Snacks Trader Joe’s Must Never Discontinue
1. Dark Chocolate Almonds
What makes these chocolate-covered almonds so special are the flecks of sea salt and turbinado sugar studded throughout the chocolate coating. A sweet and salty snack at its finest. I dare you to eat just one.
2. Triple Ginger Snaps
After eating these ginger snaps (which, let’s face it, are a ginger explosion), how do you eat any other variety? I’ve always liked ginger snaps, but these cookies made me love ginger snaps.
3. Sea Salt Brownie Petites
Yes, homemade brownies are always my first choice, but when I don’t have time to make them, these brownie bites are next in line. I’ve been buying them for years, and I don’t plan to stop. They have just the right amount of sea salt, and are perfectly sized to satisfy my sweet craving without overdoing it.
4. Cilantro & Chive Yogurt Dip
Think of this flavor-packed herb dip as one giant step up from your favorite spinach dip. Don’t be surprised if you’re hooked after one bite. Or, at how fast the container disappears.
5. Roasted Coconut Chips
These are not just coconut flakes. Oh no, they’re so much more. Thicker, crispier, and crunchier, these coconut chips are totally addicting. I love adding them to yogurt and oats, although most of all just eating them straight from the bag.
6. Fig & Olive Crisps
I first bought these on a recommendation from a friend. She has a way of steering me in the right direction when it comes to shopping at Trader Joe’s, so I should have immediately known these would become a mainstay in my pantry. They’re light, savory, and so perfect with soft cheese.
7. Speculoos Cookie Butter
When cookie butter first hit the shelves, I thought it might be a passing fad. Oh, how wrong I was! And I realized the err of my ways shortly after my first bite. Now I limit how often I buy it because once I get it home, it always has a way of disappearing absurdly fast.
8. String Cheese
This is one of the items in my regular snack arsenal. I’ve tried a lot of other brands, and this is the one I always come back to. As with so many other Trader Joe’s products, this is one that’s reliably delicious and such a good value.
9. Wasabi Flavored Almonds
I love the whole assortment of nuts at Trader Joe’s. The Thai chili lime cashews are nothing short of amazing, but these spiced wasabi almonds win me over just a little bit more. I’ve always had a soft spot for wasabi peas, and this snack combines that flavoring with my love for roasted almonds.
10. Mini Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups
Or maybe Trader Joe’s should discontinue these things because I’m pretty sure they’re going to be the death of me. These mini cups are perfect for eating as is, but I also love them as a topping for ice cream.
