I Test Cookware for a Living and This Unique Pan Has Become One of My Recent Favorites (I Use It for Everything!)
Over the last couple years, I’ve amassed a truly absurd amount of muffin pans. I just set aside two or three to donate, but I have another three still sitting in my pantry. One is a mini version for my Wonder Oven, and the other two are for regular oven usage, varying in capacity. While I use all three, I just couldn’t keep myself from getting another as soon as I laid eyes on the latest addition to my collection. It stands apart from the others that I have now and have owned in the past — so much so that I actually find myself reaching for it over all my other muffin tins.
The beautiful pan in question is from QVC and has been inspiring me to bake since the day it showed up at my door, thanks to its ability to whip up larger muffins (and more) than standard. It’s the Temp-tations Woodland 6-Cup Texas Muffin Pan — and it’s on sale for nearly 30% off at QVC right now.
What Is the Temp-tations Woodland 6-Cup Texas Muffin Pan?
The Temp-tations Woodland 6-Cup Texas Muffin Pan has a couple of important distinctions from my regular versions. First off, it’s actually a ceramic pan, which makes it stunning and quite weighty compared to my steel ones. That said, it’s impressively nonstick. Every time I’ve used it, I haven’t needed liners — just cooking spray — and my food has come out pretty easily.
Another thing that’s special about this pan? Its size. It features six oversized cups, which is the main reason why I have fallen in love with this pan. I think the size of the cups is so fun and makes it so easy to use for tasks beyond baking muffins and cupcakes (which I’ll elaborate on later). Plus, the design of this pan is so beautiful. The top of the pan has a pretty, tree bark-like texture that I absolutely adore in the Emerald color I chose (though there are three other colors you can opt for, too).
Why I Love the Temp-tations Woodland 6-Cup Texas Muffin Pan
In the past, I’ve used my other muffin tins to, well, bake muffins. The only real meal prepping I did with them was making egg bites as a quick and easy breakfast. And I’ll be honest, I usually wasn’t happy with the way they turned out in my old pans. Thankfully, Temp-tations’ Woodland Texas Muffin Pan offers a lot more versatility and allows for much more creativity, yielding stellar results.
So far, I’ve used the pan to make tender, cinnamony mini coffee cakes and even single servings of juicy meatloaf. While I loved using it for both, I was particularly excited by how great the meatloaf turned out. It was juicy on the inside with a crispy golden exterior all the way around. Each portion came out in one piece, which is something that I was slightly worried about having forgone liners. They cooked in half the time compared to my loaf pan. Plus, I ended up with enough portions for my fiancé and I to have pre-made meatloaf for dinner a couple more times throughout the week.
Although I love to bake and see myself using this pan a lot for that purpose, this pan has really won me over as my secret weapon for meal prep. I read through other shoppers’ reviews, and several mentioned making breakfast bakes, scalloped potatoes, and cornbread muffins in it, too. Given that you can get it for under $20 right now, I would seriously recommend it for anyone who loves easy oven-baked dinners (and who doesn’t?).
