Not everyone is guaranteed a day off on Presidents’ Day, but we can all count on an abundance of sales from e-tailers and car dealers alike. During an otherwise sleepy season for the retail industry (at least once all of the chocolates and flowers have been sold), companies are promoting a ton of items prior to the spring sales.

Target is offering some of the deepest discounts we’ve seen on a few of our favorite brands. For a few products, the sale prices are only visible once you add items to your cart. Temptingly, if you’re a bundle shopper, consider the fact that you can get the following five items for under $450. We’d call that a pretty modest investment in some timeless essentials.

You’re not getting a stripped-down model here, and $138 is pretty significant in terms of savings. The Professional boasts all of the bells and whistles that KitchenAid’s mixers are known for, with a larger-capacity bowl and three mixing attachments to make everything from perfectly airy meringues, to dense bread dough. With the extra money you’re saving, why not invest in one of KitchenAid’s compatible accessories like their classic three-piece pasta roller and cutter set? Bonus: It’s currently 25% off.

The 12-cup model has a durable pitcher with an ergonomic handle, and easy-to-set programming for on-demand brewing. In other words, you can wake up to a fresh pot that brewed while you slept. It even comes with a cleaning setting. The navy color falls on the brighter end of the spectrum, making it a cheerful accent in an otherwise neutral kitchen. And, as a side note, my sister just purchased this exact machine at Target because it fits under her unusually low cabinets.

We don’t typically see forged knives for such an affordable price, since the cost to make them is a lot higher than more common stamped knives. The 8-inch German blade of this KitchenAid bread knife will help you slice through crusty baguettes and heavy loaves. If you can think beyond all of the bread you’re likely dipping in soups and stews right now, you’ll also be happy to have this knife when tomato season comes around. We promise, it will be here before you know it!

By now you’re probably acquainted with the Instant Pot and the many ways it can transform mealtime and meal prep in your kitchen. (If you do need a primer, read this or this). The DUO isn’t the newest model in the company’s lineup, but some would argue it’s easier to navigate than the Ultra line that has a fancier screen and allows you to program the cooker yourself. We like things as simple as possible, and with 14 smart programs, the DUO is a great choice for anyone considering getting on the Instant Pot train. Plus, it’s rare to see an 8-quart model for under $100. And if you’re currently donating anything that doesn’t spark joy, consider the fact that IP claims to replace seven appliances.

Whether we’re chopping a bunch of onions, or needing to drag a heavy full-sized food processor out of a cabinet to make a batch of hummus, we could all use a little prep help in the kitchen. This chopper from KitchenAid mixes, purées and chops for easy meal prep and entertaining — in one compact, sleek package. If you’re making an effort to cut back on store-bought dips, dressings, or salsas, this appliance will pay for itself quickly. It’s also the perfect size for making grab-and-go energy bites and bars from nuts and dried fruit.
