Is it just me, or do you often find that a “quick” run to Target becomes an hour-long shopping session? Somehow a trip for toilet paper or a sparkling water refill and maybe even a fresh box of oatmeal ends with a cart full of items you “absolutely need,” complete with a Starbucks drink in hand. I can almost feel you nodding along with me in agreement. Well, Target fans, I have great news for eleventh-hour shoppers and deal seekers.

With the Fourth of July holiday right around the corner, and many families gearing up for summer barbecues, last-minute runs to the store for essentials (or really, really good deals) may be close to unavoidable. Whether you’re planning to visit Target this Tuesday for a weekly grocery shop or a holiday-specific must-have, or to peruse the discounted swimwear and pool floats, the superstore chain has confirmed that yes, Target will be open on Independence Day 2023 (July 4, 2023). 

Do you want more crowd-pleasing appetizers? Head to Target. Maybe your household cleaning staples are running surprisingly low? Go on, and stock up at Target. Heck, do you need a grill? It’s yours for the taking at Target (after you pay for it, of course). Grab your BBQ to-do list and check off the items you forgot (or are unexpectedly out of) while you enjoy the retailer’s summer sales and uncanny savings. Target’s doors will be open during normal store hours nationwide. However, it’s always best to check with your nearest location, as some stores may honor individual holiday hours.
