Now that Halloween is out of the way, it is officially time to talk about Christmas and the holiday season. Are you ready for it? You know who is definitely ready for it? Target. The retailer just launched more than 2,000 new and exclusive holiday finds. (And more than half of these new decor and trim items will be less than $10!) We got a sneak peek at the new goods — and we got the inside scoop from some high-up executives.

“We’ve designed our holiday Home assortment to help guests set a festive scene to celebrate their favorite traditions — and make new memories together,” says Jill Sando, Target senior vice president and general merchandise manager, Apparel and Accessories and Home. “So many incredible holiday moments happen at home — it’s a warm, inviting setting for family dinners, epic gift openings and quiet cocoa-sipping with friends around the fireplace.”

With that in mind, Target is going ALL IN on holiday tabletop items (from the brands we all love like Hearth & Hand with Magnolia, Threshold, and Opalhouse), all things cozy, lots of gift wrap, and anything even remotely festive. It was nearly impossible to narrow down our picks, but we did it and here are 10 of the items we’re most excited for.

Look for them all in stores and online, starting on Sunday.

1. Hearth & Hand with Magnolia 72-Inch Faux Pine Garland, $25

Believe it or not, this holiday marks the three-year anniversary of Hearth & Hand with Magnolia (Target’s partnership with Chip and Joanna Gaines). This season, the brand will have nearly 300 new pieces, featuring an expanded assortment of baking items (see below). As you might guess from this garland, there will also be lots and LOTS of faux greenery. Line this down the center of your table, along with some hurricane vases, you’re practically done.

2. Hearth & Hand with Magnolia Giant Pewter Cookie Cutter, $15

Here’s an example of that baking stuff we mentioned above. It’s as smart as it is cute: You just have to roll out a big sheet of cookie dough, press this one cookie cutter into it, and you’ll have 21 cookies to bake. Talk about a time-saver!

3. Hearth & Hand with Magnolia Napkins with Red Embroidery, $10 for four

We love that these feel holiday-y without being too over-the-top. If only all those ugly sweaters got the same memo that these napkins got.

4. Hearth & Hand with Magnolia Seasonal App Plates, $20 for four

In addition to these, Chip and Joanna have also created another set of appetizer plates that say peace, joy, hope, and merry. We’re partial to the icons but both are cute!

5. Hearth & Hand with Magnolia Wooden Toy Cash Register, $30

Okay, so this item has nothing to do with decorating your home or cozying it up for the holidays, but we actually gasped when we saw it, so we knew we had to include it. Your nephew can’t exactly play pretend grocery store without a pretend cash register, can he?

6. Opalhouse Sugar Cookie & Gingerbread Tea Towels, $6 for two

We haven’t tested this sugar cookie recipe, but if they taste as good as these towels look, we’re sure they’ll be great!

7. Sugar Paper for Target Jingle Bell Napkin Rings, $12 for four

These give a whole new meaning to the idea of napkin rings! Get it? Because they’re actual bells! They’re part of a collaboration with Sugar Paper and the co-founders, Chelsea Shukov and Jamie Grobecker, had a key tip to share: “Set the table the night before,” they point out. “It’s such a fun thing to do when you’re not worried about making the meal at the same time. Having your table beautifully set allows you to relax and it sets the tone for your holiday meal.”

They also say it’s best to go with assigned seating around the table. “It helps to make your guests feel at ease and often allows for really good conversation if you thoughtfully place like-minded people near one another. We use traditional place cards or tie a name tag on each napkin for a personal touch.”
