As if you needed a good reason to go to Target this weekend, there is a super-special, once-a-year deal that you need to know about: On Sunday, December 2, you can save 10 percent on all Target gift cards, bought in stores and online. That's right — gift cards are on sale! And gift cards, in general, almost never go on sale!

A bit of the fine print: You don't need a coupon or promo code — the discount automatically comes off during checkout. The sale is happening only on Sunday and valid for up to $300 in Target gift card purchases. So that means you can get a $30 maximum discount.

Why are we making such a big deal of out this? Again, because gift cards NEVER GO ON SALE! And it's holiday shopping season, which means you can buy a discounted gift card and then use that to shop for all the people on your list. Or you can get someone their own discounted gift card and they'll be none the wiser. (You can also use it for yourself as a dead-of-winter pick-me-up in February!)

And not like you need it, but here's one more reason to shop at Target: New pieces from Chip and Joanna Gaines' Hearth & Hand with Magnolia line just came out. It's all part of the holiday assortment and we want practically all of it — especially these baking-centric picks.

1. Multi-Cookie Cutter Sheet, $16

This giant cookie cutter is downright brilliant. It basically eliminates the need of having to constantly roll and re-roll dough during a holiday baking session. And, because of its size, it also totally doubles as a cute decoration. Just hang it on a wall or lean it up against something.
