There’s always a new tech gadget to shake our heads at these days, but thankfully for the most part they steer clear of the kitchen.

However, the latest marketing gimmick from the folks behind Cinnamon Toast Crunch, of all places, combines the much-maligned selfie stick with the humble spoon.

While there’s nothing revolutionary in terms of the design (it’s more like a product mashup) it still caused a stir on the Internet this week.

But the most distressing news of all might be that the Selfie Spoon is currently out of stock. So unless they release another round before the holidays, you’ll be stuck using your regular selfie stick at the table.
