We’re very intrigued by the current craze for bacon in sweet treats. We first noticed the trend with this Bacon Baklava over at Food & Wine. Here’s another version of Maple Bak’nlava over at Holy Shitake.
The food blog world is fully on the brown sugar ‘n’ bacon bandwagon now; Jumbo Empanadas makes a batch of Bacon Brittle, pictured here, and calls it cocaine for pig lovers. She got the idea from this Bacon Toffee. Looks oddly craveworthy. But what do you think? (Don’t forget the Bacon Caramel.)
