Sur La Table's Anniversary Sale is huge, with many items up to 70 percent off. And if you want to shop it, you're in luck. As a final incentive they're offering an additional 10% off hundreds of items plus free shipping on any order with no minimum purchase. In other words, they're having a sale on their sale.

You can browse discounted items by category, but in case you need some inspiration I've got holiday entertaining and cold-weather cooking on my mind. Here are three of my top picks.

1. Le Creuset Buffet Casserole with Glass Lid, 3.5 Quart, $170 (normally $370)

I'm always on the lookout for Le Creuset's classic braiser to go on sale, and this similar model caught my eye for the crazy discount of $200 off. I love the fact that the glass lid allows me to peek in on my food without lifting it to release any precious heat. Braised chicken thighs and comforting puttanesca are on heavy rotation in my kitchen during the winter, and this would make the job that much more enjoyable — not to mention I can serve straight from the casserole at the table.

2. Porcelain Platters, Set of 3, $18 (normally $33)

These porcelain platters are already staple items for me, and at 49 percen off I'm tempted to buy a second (and possibly third) set. Classic and clean, I use them to serve small bites like caprese skewers and cheese puffs when I have guests over, but I also often find myself bringing the larger platter out to the grill on weeknights so I can bring cooked veggies inside after cooking. They are durable and dishwasher-safe, and since I store them stacked they take up minimal space in my cabinets.

3. Emile Henry Modern Classics 9-Inch Pie Dish, $30 (normally $45)

Every kitchen needs a 9-inch pie dish, and Emile Henry makes this classic even prettier with a fluted edge. The glazed clay construction is extra durable and thermal shock-resistant, meaning you can take this dish from freezer to oven. Such a great time-saver if you've started making pies — whether sweet or savory — to prepare for the upcoming holiday season!
