How To Make Puff Pastry Cheese Straws

Puff pastry cheese straws are here for you. These crispy, flaky, cheesy twists require just two ingredients and a few minutes of your time, and yet they deliver big.

Heat the oven to 375°F and line 2 baking sheets.

Dust the counter with 1/4 cup of grated mixed hard cheese. Unfold or unroll the first of 2 store-bought puff pastry sheets onto the cheese and sprinkle 1/4 cup of cheese over it.

Roll the puff pastry out to 1/8-inch thick and fold in half.

Top with another 1/4 cup of cheese and roll out again.

Cut the pastry into strips, transfer to a baking sheet, and twist. Chill for 10 minutes to an hour. (Prep the second puff pastry sheet during this time.)

 Bake 15 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese straws are puffed and crispy, feel dry to the touch, and are deep golden brown.

Cool the cheese straws briefly on the baking sheet and bake the second sheet.

Serve warm or at room temperature.
