This method for quick-chilling brewed coffee is sometimes called iced pour over or Japanese-style iced coffee. It takes just five minutes to make a very, very delicious cup of iced coffee. And you don’t need any special equipment.
Prepare the pour over set up over a kitchen scale. Add the filter and 8 oz. of ice in the pitcher.
Add 1 oz of ground coffee to the filter.
Pour 8 oz. of almost boiling water over the coffee. Allow coffee to bloom for about 1 minute.
After the ice cools the coffee, strain it and pour into a glass with more ice. Serve and enjoy.
