The perfect grilled cheese sandwich is a pursuit that has consumed many of us. Here is our contribution to the quest.
Melt butter in a pan.
Rub bread in the melted butter.
Pile the cheese on bread.
Cover pan with a lid to let the cheese melt, 2 to 3 minutes.
Top the sandwich with the other piece of bread. Press down slightly and flip the sandwich over.
Continue cooking until both sides are golden brown, another 1 to 2 minutes.
