One of our favorite easy ways to prepare asparagus is to roast it in the oven. It’s a foolproof, hands-off method that requires just a couple minutes of prep.
Snap off the dry ends of the asparagus.
Spread asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet and drizzle lightly with olive oil. Toss the to coat evenly.
Sprinkle generously with salt and pepper.
Roast for 10 to 15 minutes at 425°F on the top rack until they’re as crispy as you like.
