Store Spices In A Steampunk Spice Rack

The idea of test tubes in the kitchen is nothing new. They look cool and are actually a fairly decent way to deliver spices to a dish. Their small opening makes them easy to pour or tap out the exact amount you want. That said, they're not exactly easy to store. This steampunk version works pretty well, but there's a few additions you can make if you're not so into the copper look.

Steam punk might have it's place, but there are many who don't share the same affinity for it's rugged good looks. The tutorial is simple enough to follow, but before calling your diy rack finished, try dipping it in pasti-dip or giving it a shot of spray paint. It will allow you to customize it to your kitchen for perfect coordination.

Likewise, you could also wrap the tubing with wire or twine to give it a rustic beachy look. No matter how you finish treating it, or leave it plain, it's a great idea for storing spices in this manner.
