Last Sunday at the Milan Expo 2015 World’s Fair, a very important Guinness World Record was made. About 60 French and Italian bakers got together and created the world’s longest-ever baguette.
Just wait until you see this thing.
The baguette was 400 feet long, breaking the previous record of 364 feet. The bakers worked at a rate of 66 feet of baguette per hour. The bread was baked in a special portable oven, so the result was perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. After they declared that the baguette was indeed the longest baguette that ever existed, they broke the thing up and slathered it with Nutella.
What a dream.
