When Stephen LaRue returned to New Orleans after living away for a long time, he embraced the heirloom appeal of the city, but with his own personal take on the decor of the home he shares with a long-time friend. And because his kitchen and living area inhabit the same space, his design aesthetic carries through.

Not only do we love the leather armchairs that serve as dining chairs. but Stephen and Scott have left no wall uncovered. Even the backsplash behind their sink is a tableau for a painting of a shrimp boil and some on-them copper baking molds.

And there are plenty of vintage silver pieces decorating various parts of the home as well. We love how Stephen and Scott have managed to find a place for everything and to tie it all together to feel cohesive.
