‘Tis the season to get lots of holiday cards. And our friends over at Minted have a ingenious idea for what to do with them as they come in: Hang them on kitchen cabinets.

It’s a super-simple way to decorate the kitchen for the season, without going totally crazy with garland, lights, or breakable ornaments. Keep reading to see how they pulled it together. (Hint: It’s really easy!)

First, cut ribbon into strips that are the length of your cabinet plus an extra foot. Apply several glue dots (available at craft stores) along one entire side of each ribbon. Then, hang one ribbon vertically down the middle of each cabinet door, making sure the extra ribbon goes over the top and bottom edges.

Use more glue dots to attach the cards to the ribbon as the mail arrives. And enjoy. The best part: You can still use your cabinets!
