Twitter Reacts to Starbucks’ FREE Reusable Red Cups (Today Only)
In case you didn’t get a reusable holiday red cup from Starbucks last year, hopefully you waited in line (yes, the very LONG lines everywhere), this morning to snag your reusable cup. By purchasing a holiday beverage, such as the Peppermint Mocha, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, or Eggnog Latte, you can get a reusable red cup for free to keep for some sweet perks throughout the holiday season. The only catch is that there are a limited supply of the reusable cups at every store (of course).
If you were able to get a cup, there are some pretty sweet perks. From today, November 7, through January 7, you’ll be able to bring in your cup after 2 p.m. at Starbucks locations whenever you want and get 50 cents off of a grande holiday drink. So, if you beat the afternoon slump or grab a java before heading back to the office in the evening hours with a silky Eggnog Latte (which sounds pretty good), then this is totally worth it. Imagine how much you’d save over the two months!
And people on Twitter have been reacting to this year’s newest cup, which is red and has “Merry Coffee” written in white and green text as the design. Here are some of the best reactions.
We know it’s snowing today in Canada, which, according to one Starbucks fan, makes getting the cup on #RedCup day even more perfectly festive!
Another person accurately said that the start of the holidays is really when the #RedCup comes out.
Catherine Gill paired her #RedCup with some guacamole, so she can be “trendy,” which if you ask me, seems like she’s totally spot on with.
Another said to be nice to your barista today, and honestly, she’s right! Imagine how much effort goes into making those intricate holiday beverages — we owe them today!
All in all, people are super excited to have the red cup in their hands and for the Christmas and holiday season to begin. There were many Peppermint Mochas and Caramel Brulée Lattes ordered, according to Twitter users, so I’m thinking those two might be the top picks for the season. But there’s time for Eggnog Lattes to catch up, too. Either way, you can get them all now and sip from your beautiful, festive red cup!
