Starbucks Just Brought Back the Pistachio Latte, but Only for a Limited Time
While you might be mourning the loss of your favorite Starbucks holiday beverages, it’s a fine time to wipe those tears away. The coffee giant’s winter menu has launched, and thankfully, a few favorites have returned.
Coming in hot (or cold because you can order either temp), the Pistachio Latte is here for its second year and is available throughout the winter. It’s on the menu while supplies last — hopefully through early March 2022, which is when their spring menu is known to launch.
The cozy latte gets its sweet and salty taste from Starbucks Signature Espresso, steamed milk, and pistachio flavoring — a sauce made with actual ground pistachios. It’s finished off with a rich salted brown butter and while it was once exclusive to Starbucks Reserve Roasteries in January 2019, it’s now available nationwide.
As Starbucks is all about customizations (we love discovering new secret off-the-menu orders), you can opt to forgo the brown butter and instead top with chestnut praline, caramel brulée, or barista cocoa powder, to name a few available options. Of course, there are almond, coconut, oat or soy milk swaps for dairy-free options (although the pistachio sauce itself contains dairy) and you can even add the pistachio sauce to other Starbucks drinks for some extra nuttiness.
Alongside this seasonal treat, Starbucks is promoting two offerings to the permanent menu. Iced coffee diehards can continue to order the Iced Chocolate Almondmilk Shaken Espresso and Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso even when the weather outside isn’t frightful.
Meatless Mondays are also back for the month, with a promotion on the Impossible Breakfast Sandwich throughout January 31. And, as an added extra, every Monday through the end of this month, you can get $2 off the Impossible Breakfast Sandwich both in-stores and through the app, while supplies last. A deal, indeed!
