Is Starbucks Open on Labor Day?

While we absolutely love summer, fall is just around the corner — it’s so close, we can almost taste it. Before long, the leaves will be changing and we’ll be switching out of our summer dresses and into our favorite leather boots and swapping out warm-weather recipes for cool-weather eats. 

Labor Day is considered by many to be the unofficial start of the fall season. This weekend is marked by many stores changing their hours, offering special sales, or closing their doors for the day in observation of the holiday. And, as we pivot from cold brew and towards our favorite Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte, we just have to know whether we can get our Starbucks faves on Labor Day this year! 

This year, Labor Day falls on Monday, September 4, 2023. Labor Day is a federal holiday that is always celebrated on the first Monday in September. Many stores, shops, and restaurants have different hours on Labor Day, so it’s always best to check store hours before heading out! 

Yes, Starbucks is open on Labor Day. But be sure to plan ahead if you’re in need of a latte, because while most locations are open, some hours may be modified and vary by location.

You can easily confirm store hours by visiting the store locator on the Starbucks website or checking your Starbucks app. No one wants to venture out on a holiday weekend just to be turned away — especially if they are craving their fave caffeinated drink. 

Once armed with those adjusted store hours for Labor Day, the only decision will be what to order! Between seasonal drinks and yummy snacks, there’s never a shortage of fun things to try.
