Starbucks Just Announced This Year’s 2022 Holiday Lineup — Here’s What’s Back on the Menu

Starbucks Red Cup Holiday Season 2022

While some have already opened the floodgates of yuletide cheer, others are waiting for a sign that the holidays have arrived. That sign, however, has arrived as the return of the festive red cups at Starbucks is finally here. 

Starbucks announced its holiday lineup, and it includes a new treat and some gorgeous new cups that touch down in-stores nationwide on Thursday, November 3. There are four holiday cup designs featured in this year’s release, and they each offer up the comforts and cheer of the season: Gift-Wrapped Magic with wavy ribbons and shimmering sparkles; Frosted Sparkle with retro starbursts and diamond shapes; festive Ornament Wonder; and a tree motif in the Cozy Evergreen.

“Nothing says the most magical time of the year like the Starbucks red cup returning. This year is special as Starbucks celebrates 25 years of the iconic holiday cup and the return of a full menu of seasonal handcrafted beverages and festive food,” Starbucks said in an official announcement.

If you’re waiting on pins and (pine) needles for the release of new Starbucks holiday drinks, however, it seems the Seattle-based coffee giant isn’t introducing any new beverages this year. But you can still sip some seasonal splendor, with our favorites returning this year — Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Irish Cream Cold Brew, the non-dairy Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte, and the Peppermint Mocha of course, the latter of which celebrates its 20th birthday this year.

New in the bakery case is the Chocolate Pistachio Swirl, which joins the returning Reindeer Cake Pop, Sugar Plum Cheese Danish, Cranberry Bliss Bar, and Snowman Cookie. The rookie cookie features a creamy chocolate filling with cinnamon and coffee swirled into its brioche-inspired dough. Mint chocolate chips are thrown in and it’s then finished off with a sprinkle of chopped pistachios. Yum!
