PSA: Starbucks Drinks Are Half Off Every Thursday for the Rest of the Year

The holiday season is ripe with activity. You shop for presents, plan parties, and do a whole lot of cooking and gift wrapping. Eventually, you get exhausted and need a caffeine infusion, but it’s nice to also not break the budget since people naturally spend more around the holidays.

Latte lovers are about to get a much-desired break as Starbucks is offering 50 percent off any drink on their menu every Thursday in December. To score the deal, all you have to do is redeem the coupon in the Starbucks app on December 7, December 14, December 21, and December 28. The coupon is good for all rewards members, one use per Thursday, from noon until 6 p.m. local time. To become a rewards member, just download the app and join. There are other rewards as well, such as free beverages on your birthday and earning points toward free food and drink incentives.

This 50% off drinks promotion started out as a “Yay Day” deal and now is being extended throughout the holiday season, when we all know it’s needed most.  Maybe saving money on a beverage will also free up some cash to get a bakery item while you’re there, such as the new Chocolate Pistachio Swirl or a Reindeer Cake Pop. It is the season of celebrating, after all. That includes giving ourselves a little treat now and then.

This deal is good on all Starbucks beverages, but why not use it as an opportunity to try some of the fun seasonal holiday options while you are at it? With options like the iced sugar cookie almond milk latte, caramel brûlée latte, or peppermint mocha, there’s something festive to try each Thursday without repeating the same option twice.
