Everything We Know So Far About Season 2 of “Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy”
If you’ve been jonesing for that soothing voice and wry style vibe of Golden Globe winner and Academy Award nominee Stanley Tucci as he travels, sips, and snacks across Italy, hold onto your cappuccino. According to a press release from CNN earlier this month, the Italian heart throb is set to return for the next season of his travel show Searching for Italy.
The series that won the actor an Emmy Award for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Program will kick off its next foray into the world of Italian food and culture on Sunday, May 1, at 9 p.m. ET. While the first season gave us six glorious episodes, this season promises only four. But don’t despair — there will be plenty to keep you entertained, as the series takes a deep dive into history of Venice and the difficulties faced by the Floating City. We’ll also join Tucci on a search for white truffles in the northwestern region of Piedmont. The celebrated actor will engage in wild boar hunting in the rural Umbria region and explore the Italian food scene in London — the latter being Tucci’s current home with his wife Felicity.
Searching for Italy captures the Italian-American actor’s passion for food and old-world traditions.
With just under a month before showtime, now’s the time to perfect your Negroni. If cocktails aren’t your cup of tea though, you can always grab a glass of Pellegrino while tuning in (Tucci recently signed up for a partnership with the Italian sparkling water brand). The show promises to be a feast for both the palette and the eyes.
